For owners of the HTC Desire (which is a pretty spiffy phone in its own right, although it has already started to show its age for some time now), you must have gone through quite a lot, with word that there will not be any Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for said smartphone, followed up a 180-degree turn with word that the Gingerbread update will be gimped in some way.
Here’s what HTC says, “Hi all- We’re excited to share that we are testing our build of Gingerbread for HTC Desire and will start doing quality assurance for it this week. When we have an update on availability we’ll post another announcement. Thanks for your support!”
We are still waiting for additional details as to what’s in and what’s not for the Gingerbread update, and our patience is running thin. Why can’t HTC just come clean with all the relevant information?Related articles:
