When it comes to instant photography, you might think that your digital camera is good enough. Well, just in case you didn’t know, there was a time when cameras weren’t digital in nature, and there was this thing called “film” which you had to load into the camera, and then develop your shots in a dark room without any instant preview on an LCD display. The years are rolled back with the Fujifilm Instax Mini 50S, where it is said to deliver instant credit card sized photo prints.

Boasting a shiny black finish in a sleek and compact form factor, the Instax Mini 50S is no slouch when it comes to taking photos creatively. You will benefit from two shutter release buttons that are located on the front and side of the camera for portrait or landscape prints. There is also a self-timer which might come in handy if you want to take one or two pictures simultaneously – this happens when you have one for yourself and the other for a friend; with a blank strip at the bottom of each print offering enough space to write down a message.

With a macro lens, you can shoot shots of up to 30cm away, while an intelligent flash allows brighter backgrounds in your images. The exposure indicator display makes sure you are able to make the most of your shots without wasting film, while a brightness control lets you lighten or darken photos. Relying on ISO 800 film speed at 20 exposures, the Instax 50s will retail for $129.99 a pop. [Press Release]
