When it comes to third party accessories for video game consoles, both portable as well as home based models, there are tons of those around from different manufacturers. It seems to be the unending cash cow, and for good reason, too. After all, these accessories do wear out and get dirty over time, just like a phone case, but your phone would probably last a whole lot less than your console due to the nature of their respective life cycles in the market. Well, Memorex will be making a splash at E3 from next week onwards with a slew of gaming accessories, among them being the Memorex Universal Game Selector Case (Warning: PDF link).

The name itself, as you can tell by the image above, will let you solve the problem of missing carts for the DS wherever you go. Retailing for $19.99 a pop, it can hold up to three different games, hooking to the cartridge port on any DS. Guess that would mean sacrificing your Rumble Pak, but let’s face it, after a while, all that vibrating gets old fast not to mention having it sap even more battery life.

This is in line with most people who have a Top 3 list in their lives, and for video game fans, it might just cause you to choose more carefully just which games you want to bring with you on that trans-Atlantic trip. [Press Release]
