Dads and moms out there – can you remember just how many times you have asked your kids to “pick up after themselves”? Lost count? Well, that’s the perils of parenting, but if you happen to have a particularly messy family at the dining table, then we would highly recommend for this unique robot arm to be commercialized sooner rather than later. What makes this robotic arm so special? Well, you can check it out in action after the jump, but let us drop our two cents first. Armed (pun not intended) with a Teflon sheet that is attached to this robotic arm, it moves so fast that it can even pick up a dash of semi-liquids as in the video – making short (and clean) work of a mixture of mayonnaise and ketchup without changing the puddle’s shape.
Dubbed the SWITL, the company behind this robotic arm intends for it not as a dining table companion, but to work in packaging delicate materials such as meat as an option. Of course, we’re sure mustard and hot sauce would fall victim to the SWITL as well, but forget about drinks spills, this is where the line is drawn.
Watch and be amazed.
