Toshiba intends to further their agenda Stateside with the DX1215 all-in-one PC, where it will share some very visible characteristics with Toshiba’s range of large screen TVs. The DX1215 will function as a media hub, sporting a 21.5″ display at 1080p resolution with touchscreen goodness thrown into the mix. Apart from that, your ears will also be able to appreciate what Onkyo has delivered with a pair of speakers accompanied by Waves MaxxAudio processing.
Your eyes will also benefit from Toshiba’s TV-focused video upscaling engine and a new Sleep & Music feature that allows you to enjoy music from the DX1215′s speakers – never mind that the computer itself is turned off, as long as a compatible device is plugged into it.
Other hardware specifications include a choice between Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, a 1TB hard drive, a DVD burner and a couple of USB 3.0 ports to keep the older USB 2.0 ports company. Pricing starts from $930 thereabouts and can only go upwards from here. Is this the first of many iMac competitors from Toshiba?
