Folks who use YouMail’s Visual Voicemail Plus app on their BlackBerry phones are in for a treat. The company has announced a new update to the app that introduces a couple of new features. Users now have access to in-app community greetings, and number search.
In-App Community Greetings allows users to browse, search and add to YouMail’s community greetings. These community greetings can be used by users to customize the greeting that callers will listen to whenever they call in. I.e. you can set a greeting to let people know you’re in a meeting, or you’re busy sleeping or driving. There’s loads of greetings to choose from, including hilarious impersonations of the President and other celebrities.
Number Search allows users to Google the phone number of an incoming call with a dedicated feature, in the event you receive an unwanted number calling you and you want to find out more about that number (i.e. to inform authorities etc) – it’s now a button press away.
The latest version of YouMail Visual Voicemail is available on the BlackBerry App World now. Head over to the YouMail greeting community to check out the different greetings available.
