It seems that choices are what consumers love, and for Android-powered smartphone owners, to have the choice of being entertained on your mobile device is definitely something worth looking into. 20th Century Fox is said to be bringing movie downloads legally when October rolls around, now how about that?

This new service is said to mark the first of what some hope would be many film studios to deliver content right onto the doorstep of your Android device. While you cannot download movies straight to the phone as you will first need to go through the hassle of purchasing a physical Blu-ray disc of a Fox movie, we hope that this move can be bypassed in the future and go straight to downloading a digital Android-friendly copy of the movie right away after that.

A computer will download the movie, from where you can transfer it over to your Android phone – which does make sense anyways, since you will most probably kill the battery of your smartphone before the movie has finished downloading. X-Men: First Class (how apt) will be the first movie made available as this service arrives Stateside prior to a UK, France and Germany roll out.
