Google Maps Android

Great news for Google Maps for Android users – Google has just announced the inclusion of 3D buildings for 18 new locations around the world. In case you forgot, last December Google pushed out an update for its Android Maps app that let users view cities in 3D by giving them models of buildings in major cities around the globe. While a lot of places have yet to receive the 3D buildings, Google has been working on pushing them out.

Latest to join the digital 3D landscape are London, Paris, Barcelona, Stockholm, Singapore, Lisbon, Boulder, and 11 major cities in South Africa. To get the new buildings, no update will be necessary but you will need a phone that supports 3D buildings on the maps and it should be running on Android 2.0 or newer. Launch Google Maps on your Android device to check out the buildings now.
