Kingston has clearly done its part to remain trustworthy among its fans, with their latest foray into a wireless content storage device in the form of the Wi-Drive having arrived at the FCC. This is pretty much in line with Kingston’s promise of a July release. As most of you know by now, any device that is about to hit the US will need to go through the paces over at the FCC first, and once it has done that, a release date should not be too far away. Since we are still frolicking around in the first week of July, there is still a fair bit of time left for Kingston to release it before August rolls around.
Just what the heck is the Wi-Drive? Well, the function of this portable storage device is to stream content to iOS-powered devices, and this can be done sans wires thanks to a built-in battery. Available in 16GB and 32GB capacities at $130 and $175 price points, we look forward to store shelves nationwide with glee. Anyone other than me think that the price points are nothing short of ridiculous?
