We all know that the Golden Master version of Mac OS X Lion has already been seeded to developers for the past week, and now it looks like the final version of the operating system is arriving pretty soon. According to some moles who work at Apple Stores, the staff are being called to stay back late on the 13th – next Wednesday, though the reason for it hasn’t been revealed – it has been speculated that the staff will be dressing up the store with Mac OS X Lion branding as well as update all the Macs in the shops with the updated operating system. Mac OS X Lion is said to be released on the following day, July 14th.
This is the first time Mac OS X will be released as a download-only update, so there won’t be any stacking of boxes to be done, but I guess they’ll be preparing the shop to receive hundreds of customers who decide to swing by to get their Mac computers updated. Who’s excited for the release of OS X Lion? Keep those fingers crossed if you’re hoping that it’ll be next week.
