Have you laid your eyes on a Nabaztag before, or interacted with it? That was one cute critter, but to have a kind of physical Tamagotchi is not such a good idea for any company, financially speaking. Mindscape, because of its bankruptcy fillings, has finally decided to pull the plug on the Nabaztag, a cute creation that actually did not contribute to the company’s bottom line in any way.

Guess the Nabaztag that is sitting on your desk right now has just turned into an expensive paperweight, blinking away without speaking or being connected to a network, and you should have taken a video recording of the last time when it moved its ears since it is but a relic now.

Servers violet.net and nabaztag.com are offline, but Mindscape has hopes that the community will be able to perform an Easter Day resurrection for these digital rabbits by rolling out the source code for Nabaztag and its servers. Anyone want to download the source code and do something about the situation? Guess Karotz has also bitten the dust in the same manner then.
