Onkyo Android app

Folks who are tired of losing their remote controls for their Onkyo home theater systems will be pleased to know that the company has just announced a remote control app that will be coming to Android smartphones later this year. The app will allow users to stream content from their Android devices onto their Onkyo home theater systems in addition to functioning as a remote control that can do more than its regular counterpart.

Designed to control all of Onkyo’s network A/V receivers released this year, the app should put an end to lost remote controls in the living room: after all people tend to take care of their smartphones more than regular remote controls right? The app will be available for users to download for free from the Android Market in August.
