Electric cars might be picking up in momentum these days, but here is something that you might want to consider just in case there are jams for you to circumvent during your daily commute to work – the Orphiro electric motorcycle. This efficient and obviously quiet mode of transport from Holland was inspired by classic bobber styling in terms of design, where it has been called a wide-body cruiser. Sounds perfect, since an electric motorcycle requires the necessary room for all the battery packs to be housed within.

Relying on lithium ion batteries to power a motor that sips 72 volts, the Orphiro will max out on the road at 75mph, coupled with a range of 60 miles or so. Guess mileage will vary depending on plenty of factors including the terrain which you put the bike through in addition to how heavy you (and your passenger) are.

No idea on pricing, but this bike is set to hit the market later this September.
