Folks living in Europe have something to celebrate this summer with – by recording their favorite memories for good using a reliable camcorder, and if you haven’t yet gotten a model for yourself, you can always check out what Sony has on offer for you – the Handycam SX21E that sports 67x Extended Zoom to boot.

To put it in a nutshell, the SX21E will offer crisp and clear Standard Definition video shooting, while its lens is capable of 57x Optical Zoom with 67x Extended Zoom. You can even look as though you are a deft hand at video recording thanks to its Intelligent AUTO feature, while the 2.7” Clear Photo LCD display lets you preview all your videos on the spot instead of transferring everything over to a computer first. With the help of SteadyShot, Face Detection and video light, you can be sure that your videos will be as professional looking as possible, and coincidence of coincidences, it plays nice with the announced HD-PG5UB portable hard drive as well.

All video can be stashed away to a Memory Stick or SD memory card. No idea on pricing, but this compact shooter will be arriving sometime in September 2011. Bear in mind that this is a basic Standard Definition shooter only, so those who want something which is of a higher resolution (Full HD) will have to give this a pass. [Press Release]
