The remote control was truly a wonderful creation, and over the years with many other companies rolling out remote controls of their own, it became quite a conundrum trying to keep track of where all your remote controls went. Enter the universal remote control that rules them all, but how many of them were truly easy to use? Mashed Pixel wants to solve this problem with their SURC, an easy-to-use universal learning remote control which will play nice with most InfraRed (IR)-enabled electronic devices and appliances. Of course, you will need your iPhone first as that will function as a fully customizable remote control in your home.

The SURC InfraRed (IR) connector also doubles up as a protective case, now how about that? It will be connected to a free companion mobile app that can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store, turning your iPhone 4 into a true blue user-friendly universal remote control.

Forget about Wi-Fi connectivity or multiple receivers, the SURC is good enough, and with an integrated microUSB connection and cable, you can always juice up your handset without having to remove SURC’s sleek, protective case.
