The Great White North is famous for many things, and the BlackBerry is one of them iconic items which has changed the way the world communicated. Apart from the BlackBerry, how about basketball, electron microscopes, IMAX movies, instant mashed potatoes, JAVA, odometers and the telephone filling up the list of Canadian achievements? Well, Canada Post intends to honor the innovative spirit of Canadians by rolling out a quartet of new stamps that commemorate important milestones, such as the pacemaker, electric oven, electric wheelchair, and for the geeks, the BlackBerry.
Many have stepped forward to claim that Research In Motion (RIM), the folks behind the BlackBerry, have a bleak future due to falling market share in developed markets because their BlackBerry models are unable to keep up with iOS and Android-powered handsets, but who knows? RIM might just have a killer handset in them which could turn their fortunes around. In the mean time, you can always check out these new stamps that will arrive in Canada come August 17th.
