Genius has announced the launch of the Wizard Stick – a wireless motion joystick that lets users play motion games on their computers. The Wizard Stick wirelessly connects to the PC and allows “unprecedented control of games and applications just by moving the controller through the air. It can also be used like a traditional game control pad.”
This means that you’ll be able to play games just like you do on the Wii or with the PlayStation Move – waving around the controller in the air for in-game controls. In the event you don’t have any games to play with, the Wizard Stick comes with a CD loaded with SEGA Virtua Tennis, and the AIWI gaming platform which allows you to play 16 Flash games on the AIWI website.
When you get tired of waving your arms around – the Wizard Stick can also function as a regular gamepad. And if you have an iOS or Android device, you can download apps to turn them into extra controllers for multiplayer games. The Wizard Stick communicates to the computer with a tiny wireless receiver, and it runs on two AA batteries.
