Chase away the Monday blues with news of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update being made available to HTC Inspire 4G owners. Yes sir, you ought to be able to receive this update on your smartphone Over The Air (OTA) if you haven’t done so already – either that, or be patient and it will arrive eventually sooner or later.

Just what does Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread bring to the table? Well, you get better and improved HTC Sense features such as updated Application Tray, FriendStream, Quick Settings in the Notifications window, better Power Management functionality, an improved media experience, and a bunch of other minor bug fixes.

The update will weigh in at 269MB if you cannot wait for the OTA version to arrive, so head on to HTC’s website if you want to take matters into your own hands. Of course, we would recommend making sure your Inspire 4G is at full battery strength before proceeding, not to mention making a backup before you perform said update just in case, you know, Murphy strikes.
