We have heard rumors of the Motorola DEFY+ arriving on AT&T as well as getting leaked on O2 Germany, but here is the official word from the folks over at Motorola Mobility themselves – the DEFY+ will hit the market later this fall, where it will be one tough cookie. How tough, you ask? Well, for starters, it is not only water-resistant, but scratch resistant with a dust proof design to boot, conforming to IP67 standards.
With a 1GHz processor running proceedings from underneath the hood, the Motorola DEFY+ will have Android 2.3 Gingerbread as the operating system of choice – which means there is no need to sit around and wait for an update. Expect the Motorola DEFY+ to arrive in Asia, Europe and Latin America when the time comes, and with a scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass display, you can be sure it is more than capable of standing up to a knock or fall once in a while.
You can also accessorize your Motorola DEFY+ with a host of smart accessories, ranging from a Vehicle Dock to a Bluetooth headset, Bluetooth Car Kit, Portable Power and Car Charger. There is still no word on pricing, but we expect it to fall within reasonable boundaries. [Press Release]
