Panasonic has just launched its Panasonic FZ150 in Europe. This model is a 12 Megapixel camera equipped with a LEICA 25mm lens, a 24X zoom and a built-in optical image stabilizer. The lens should perform very well when shooting at 12FPS in burst mode, or when recording 1080p movies at full frame-rate, with full access to the zoom function. Interestingly, the zoom controller is located at the base of the lens, which is rather convenient – if you hold the camera with the right hand. If you want to the FZ150 is also capable of capturing 3D photos.
If you dig a little deeper in the technical details, here are a few things worth knowing: the lens has a 2.8-5.2 f-stop, which means that it is very decent, even in dim lighting conditions – if you are not using the zoom. The display can rotate on two axes, which is very handy when you want to extend your arm to shoot a photo above a crowd, or when you want to do a self-portrait. By the way, don’t miss our Panasonic GF3 review.
