Sonamba

We all know that the elderly market isn’t exactly hottest demographic to manufacture technology for, but it’s good to know that there are companies that keep them in mind. One such company is pomdevices, a company that is known for creating devices that allows elderly people to live life independently. Its latest product, the Sonamba is one such device.

Shaped like some sort of photo frame with a touchscreen, the Sonamba is an all-in-one communications tool designed for seniors living independently. It can be used as a messaging device for users to keep in touch with friends and family, and it can even be used for making notes, creating reminders and even playing games when to pass the time.

The Sonamba also has an Away and a Home button for users to set so that people who check up on its user will know whether he/she is away or at home without having to make a phone call. The Sonamba can also be hooked up to activity sensors that can be placed around the house so old folks won’t have to walk all the way down or up some stairs just to check if anybody has been in their home.

A panic button that can be worn as a pendant or on the wrist lets users make emergency calls with just one press. And when not in use, it can also be a digital photo frame to help you reminisce about your favorite moments caught on camera. The perfect device for seniors who enjoy living alone but don’t want to be disconnected from their friends and family. The Sonamba is available now at various prices depending on the chosen monthly subscription plan. Find out more.
