Zune HD apps

For those of you who haven’t thrown out or replaced your Zune HD player yet, we’ve got some great news for you. The Zune’s not dead – to Microsoft at least. A whole bunch of new apps have popped up on the Zune store, ranging from games to utilities, and some old apps get updated. It looks like there’s still life yet in this portable media player. While the Zune HD app marketplace is nowhere near the size of the Windows Marketplace, it’s better than nothing. It looks like Microsoft is going to keep supporting the Zune HD at least for now.

The new apps available are: Finger Paint, Calendar, Trash Throw, Slider Puzzle, ColorSpill, Splatter Bug, Vine Climb, Decoder Ring and Tug-O-War. The apps that received updates are: Email, Echoes, Zune Reader and Penalty! Flick Soccer. It’s been reported that Zune apps will be making their way over to the Windows Phone 7 platform as well, so for those of you who are looking forward to playing your favorite Zune HD game on your new WP7 phone, hold on until then.
