If you’re a fan of steampunk inspired designs and you don’t mind dropping a few hundred on a steampunk MP3 player, Will Rockwell’s steampunk inspired MP3 player could be something worth checking out.

Hidden underneath the steampunk exterior lies a Archos Vision MP3 player. It can playback MP3s and videos and even comes with an FM tuner, a voice recorder and a photo gallery. It can also double up as a hard drive to store files on, much like the iPod classic. The brass buttons on the casing are fully functioning and provide access to the Archos Vision’s actual buttons beneath it.

Apparently this has been a work of trial and failure over the course of two years, but it seems that Will Rockwell managed to get it right. It will come shipped in a custom vintage tin with a pair of earphones, a USB connector cord and users manual. It even comes loaded up with Will Rockwell’s personal MP3 collection ranging from U2 to AC/DC, Coldplay and Muse (we’re not sure how legal this is).

If you’re interested in getting your hands on the device, it is available from Will Rockwell’s Etsy shop for $350.
