We realize that there are plenty of iOS speaker docks around, but for some odd reason, speaker docks for Android devices are few and far in between, so in an attempt to even things out a little, CableJive has unveiled the dockBoss+ which basically allows you to connect a number of handsets (apart from iOS) to iOS speaker docks.

To be clear, there are plenty of iOS speaker docks that usually feature support for non-iOS devices through the use of aux cables that connect to the 3.5mm headphone jack, but that also means while you get to enjoy music being pumped through your Bose iOS speaker docks, you will be draining your battery at the same time. One of the benefits of iOS speaker docks is that not only will you be able to play music through the speakers from your iOS device, but it charges your device at the same time.

With the dockBoss+, it appears that you will be able to enjoy music through iOS speaker docks while your device charges at the same time. This is achieved through an adapter cable that connects to the dock while connecting your Android device via micro USB, along with an audio jack that connects to the headphone port (as pictured above). Granted it’s not the most elegant solution but if you have recently jumped shipped from iOS to Android/WP7/Blackberry, your speaker docks will not go to waste.

The CableJive dockBoss+ is expected to be made available on the 28th of September and will come with a price tag of $30, which seems a bit expensive for an adapter, but we guess it’s cheaper than letting your iOS speaker dock go to waste.
