In any war, the person who controls the flow of information would have a huge advantage on his side – and World War II which involves, well, the world, had the Allied forces backpedalling when Adolf Hitler and his Nazis seemingly rolled over most of Europe at the beginning, communicating with one another in a coded manner that certainly might have helped them win the war, not until the Allied forces managed to crack the secret code of the enemy using the Enigma encoding machine.

This World War II relic will soon go under the hammer at Christie’s when September 29th rolls around, so those who are extremely interested in historical artifacts with a deep bank account might be interested – otherwise, you can always enjoy the latest Battlefield 3 beta on that day if gaming’s more of your thing.

No idea on who are the forerunners to pick this particularly delectable piece of wartime equipment up and bring it home safe and sound, but chances are it will receive a record breaking bid to keep in step with tradition.
