There are whispers going around that Facebook is working to introduce a redesign of their social network, perhaps to remain fresh and relevant ahead of the competition. Well, someone over at CNET discovered that the ‘Poke’ button has disappeared unofficially – it has been hidden on the sly by the Facebook folk.

Of course, that does not mean you no longer can Poke your friends, it is just that this feature is cleverly hidden in a drop-down under that little gear icon that is located in the upper right corner of your friends’ profile pages. I guess if you really, really love the Poke feature, then it would show in your action because you would have to go through a couple more mouse clicks to tickle your friend’s ribs in a digital manner.

I suppose the Poke feature does not see that much use – definitely not as much as the ‘Like’ button, but if this is going to be part of the huge Facebook redesign, will you be jiving with it, or do you prefer the old school Facebook that seemed less cluttered?
