Each year the World Bank Live website hosts the Open Forum, an online event that addresses a social issue. This year, the Open Forum will be dedicated to gender equality and what can be done to achieve it.
According to the World Bank, in 2011, women make up the majority of unpaid workers worldwide. Only 15% of landowners and one in five lawmakers globally are women. More girls are out of school than boys.
The event is open to the public and people can join the conversation in different ways:
