Remember the 3rd person shooter called Shadowgun we covered a few months ago? Well, the smartphone game with jaw dropping graphics is due to be released in a few weeks time. The game puts players into the role of a professional bounty hunter who is on the hunt for a an evil geneticist and his personal army of mutants, cyborgs andgenetically-enhanced humanoids. It will be a third person shooter, similar to Gears of War, except this time you’ll be using touchscreen controls instead of a gamepad on an Xbox 360 to play the game.
When we first reported about the game, it was announced to be arriving on the next generation NVIDIA SoC: Tegra 3/Project Kal-El, but it looks like Madfinger Games has decided to release it for iOS devices as well. According to reports online, we’ll be seeing Shadowgun for iOS (iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad) on September 28th. No word of an Android release date yet.
