TrustYou-semantic
TrustYou
, a European leader in social media monitoring for the online reviews and social commerce space, has acquired Dallas-based competitor ReviewAnalyst to enter the US market. The company has also closed  $5 million Series A round of funding.

TrustYou‘s sentiment analysis engine is based on semantic technologies that allow the service to provide better accuracy to the hospitality business than leading social media monitoring tool Radian 6, according to CEO Benjamin Jost: with Radian 6, you can only access sentiments related to the brand Hilton, for example, and you cannot access and analyse any specific feedback for the hundreds of hotels in the chain, and that’s what TrustYou effectively provides, in 10 different languages.

The acquisition of ReviewAnalyst brought a number of new clients to the reputation monitoring platform including HardRock Cafes, Best Western Hotels, Omni Hotels, and Starwood Hotels.

TrustYou is going to be demoed at the EyeforTravel’s Travel Distribution Summit in Las Vegas September 19 – 20, 2011.
