The recent introduction of Google Wallet proved to be quite a news buzz, but the idea itself has yet to take off in a big way, and Google does not (yet) own a monopoly of wireless transactions, leaving room for other players to jump into the fray. With the VanDam Go watch from RumbaTime, it will do more than just be your electronic wallet – apart from offering tap and pay technology, it also delivers emergency identification and a trendy digital chronograph, all in a single device.

Whenever you need to make a payment, just wave your watch at any retailer that relies on a tap and go payment system, and you’re good to go, with your account being deducted by a suitable figure of course.

Vita will provide the VanDam Go timepiece with relevant emergency identification of yourself in addition to your funds. Just make sure your watch is linked to your credit card or bank account, and you need not worry about being extorted for money any more, as most thieves and thugs probably won’t realize this rather tacky looking watch is actually your wallet.

Made out of water-resistant silicone, it will come in small, medium and large sizes, where you can pick it up for a mere $35 this November.
