Zero1.tv VooMote One receives price cut It sure looks like everything is getting a price cut these days – Zero1.tv’s VooMote One that turns your iPhone/iPod Touch into a remote control has just been given a price reduction. In an announcement today, Zero1.tv has stated that the VooMote One will now be available for $69.99 (previous price $99). The VooMote one consists of a case that gives your iOS device infra-red capabilities so that it can control your TVs, DVD players, stereo systems and other consumer electronics.

Eliminating the need for having multiple remote controls in the living room, and the hassle of having to change batteries, the VooMote One is a pretty convenient solution that’s easy to set up and doesn’t require a computer to work either. iOS: was once upon a time called iPhone OS, or "operating system", which is the software that provides all the basic device functionality and is the interface between the hardware and applications. iOS was introduced with the iPhone on January 9 2007, and it was originally not intended to be programmable by third parties. Interestingly, both iPhone and iOS were former trademarks of Cisco, that Apple now uses under a license.
