Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 weapons progression system revealed

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be available in just a couple of weeks, and to continue whetting the appetite of fans of the game, Activision has released another behind the scenes video for the game, this time explaining how the weapon progression system works. Just like before, you’ll be able to unlock new attachments for your weapon the more you use it, and the more kills you get. But Modern Warfare 3 introduces a new system called Proficiencies.

Proficiencies allow players to specialize their weapons with new attributes, with some unique to specific weapon classes. Users can increase the effectiveness of their weapons by opting for less recoil (called Kick in the game), holding their breath, increasing their focus and so on. So in addition to leveling your character, you’ll also be making sure your weapons get better in time. Definitely sounds like a one-way-path towards getting gamers hooked onto the game.
