Galaxy Player 4.0 and 5.0 now available

Galaxy Player 5.0 and 4.0 It’s been awhile since Samsung’s upcoming portable Android media players (PMP) were introduced to the world. Those of you who have been waiting to get your hands on one – we’ve got some good news. The wait is finally over. The Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 and 5.0 are now available for purchase on this side of the world. For those of you that need a quick refresher, these PMPs are essentially the Galaxy S minus the Super AMOLED displays, 3G and the ability to perform regular phone functions.

The Galaxy Player 4.0 will set you back $229.99 while the larger Galaxy Player 5.0 will cost $269.99. With the recent demise of Zune players, it’s about time the iPod touch had some serious competition on this side of the world, and the Galaxy Players look like they’re up for the challenge. Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005.
