One would naturally expect to associate the name ‘Ultimate’ with a flagship model especially when you apply it to the world of smartphones – well, I guess it makes perfect sense that the HTC Ultimate as well as the HTC Titan are but one and the same phone, with the former being a Brazil-only version of the Windows Phone 7 Mango-powered HTC Titan.

How did we know this? Well, Brazil too has their own FCC-like body, which is the Brazilian ANATEL. Sporting a similar metallic design like that of the Titan, the exterior of the Ultimate seems to be the same, although on the inside, the only confirmed trait that they share would be the rather beefy 1,600 mAh battery – hopefully more official specifications will be released, and in due time.

At least we now know that the HTC Titan is equal to the HTC Ultimate and vice versa, so there’s no longer any point on losing sleep over the mystery of the Titan. With the Titan being the Windows Phone to have at the moment, hopefully the HTC Ultimate too, will achieve a similar perception in the future when released in South America.
