Hulu has docked in the Land of the Rising Sun, where you will be able to enjoy video streaming services in that part of the world over Sony’s Bravia HDTV range as well as their gaming console, the PS3. Basically, Hulu’s mission in Japan is this – “to make the world’s premium content available to people all over the globe. Thanks to our hardworking Japan team, today we are one step closer to realizing this mission.”

Here is a little bit of trivia for you as well – Hulu is the first non-gaming application that will be distributed on the PS3 in Japan, now how about that for a world’s first? Using Hulu in Japan, subscribers will be able to open the door to unlimited access to hundreds of premium feature films such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Armageddon, Men in Black and Troy, in addition to thousands of episodes from previous seasons of TV shows such as 24, Bones, Criminal Minds, Desperate Housewives, Fringe, Grey’s Anatomy, Gossip Girl, Heroes, LOST, NCIS, Private Practice, Prison Break, and Ugly Betty – all for ¥1,480 each month, which works out to around $19.50 in our currency.
