Microsoft details Bing for Windows Phone 7.5

It has been a couple of weeks since the Mango update, so most of you should have received it. Well for the benefit of those who haven’t and for those who have it but haven’t fully explored it yet – the Bing team has released a detailed blog post describing all the new features of Bing available on Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango). Here’s a rundown of the new features that will be available on Bing for WP Mango:

Voice: search without having to type, Music Search: Shazam/SoundHound built-in to the phone itself, Bing Vision: search for something just by placing it in front of the camera, it also works for QR Codes, MS Tags, and cover art for CDs, Books, DVDs and video games. Bing Local Scout: locate nearby restaurants, shopping centers, and places with events/activities going on – and then find out directions, contact info, ratings, reviews, and so on. Lastly, there’s App Connect: Bing can now return search results for WP apps that are relevant for what you’re searching for.
