New Nintendo 3DS cannot be purchased anywhere

Check out the cute-as-buttons Nintendo 3DS models that you see above – don’t you think that they rank pretty highly on the cuteness level? It is a pity that Nintendo decided to take the road less traveled this time around by making them available only through a giveaway. How do you qualify to get hold of these puppies? Well, you will need to be a Club Nintendo winner in the first place to have a shot at bringing home these special edition Nintendo 3DS units that will boast Princess Peach, Mario, and Toad motifs.

Only a thousand of each will be available, so do expect some furious activity on the second hand market once they’re given out. Only Japan’s Club Nintendo members are eligible to win, where you will need to enter a couple of Club Nintendo codes which come packaged with games in order to have a shot at winning one of these three. At least the offer ends on January 15th, 2012, giving you some time if you so happen to reside in Japan.
