Photos taken by the Galaxy Nexus appear in Google’s Picasa

Photos taken by the Galaxy Nexus appear in Googles Picasa Much like the iPhone 4S prior to its release, the Samsung Nexus Prime (or Galaxy Nexus) has been talked about quite a bit. There was a lot of hype surrounding the device and undoubtedly there were many who were disappointed when the device, along with Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 were delayed as Samsung’s Unpacked 2011 event was postponed. However despite the device not actually being official or available yet, photos taken by the device has popped up on Google’s Picasa photo service.

Unfortunately no more photos of the device have appeared (yet) but photos taken by the device has, as detailed above by the photo’s EXIF data. While the device is supposed to feature an 8MP camera, the photos uploaded seems to have compressed it to 3MP, although judging by the quality of the photos that were uploaded, we have to say that we’re pretty impressed.

Coincidentally these photos were taken and uploaded by Google employees. Perhaps Google isn’t as strict about leaks as Apple is. Either way, head on down to the source link to check out the photos and let us know what you think!

Galaxy Nexus: The Samsung Galaxy Nexus was the first smartphone to officially receive Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich. The Galaxy Nexus was launched in Hong Kong on Oct 19 2011 and has debuted commercially in Europe as a carrier-free and unlocked GSM phone, and later arrived to the USA under the same name on the Verizon network. Although its internal hardware is pretty much equivalent in performance to the older Galaxy S2, the Galaxy Nexus has a great design with a curved glass 720p display. It is powered by a TI OMAP 4460 with 1GB of RAM and a Power VR SGX540 GPU.

Google: Google is an Internet Search company with profits mainly derived from its AdWords advertising program. Google is also known for other high-profile web-related products such as Chrome, GMail, Google Docs or Google Map, and it has also made a very successful entry into the mobile handset market with its Android mobile operating system. The company was created in 1998 and went public in 2004. Google is one of the most visited site in the world.

Samsung: Samsung is a South-Korean conglomerate which counts many subsidiaries like Samsung Electronics, which you probably know very well, but also Samsung Heavy Industries which builds ships, or Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Securities and many more. Samsung is responsible for an amazing 20% of South Korea's exports. In the consumer electronics world, Samsung has gone from being a company with a reputation for cheap products to becoming one of the most respected companies in the world.
