For those of you who were hoping that we’d see the Vita on our shores by the end of the year – we’ve got some bad news for you. Unless you manage to find somebody to import the portable console from Japan for you, you’re going to have to wait like the rest of the world. Sony has officially announced today that its next-generation portable console, the PlayStation Vita, will be available in the US, Canada, Latin America and Europe on February 22nd 2012.
Sony also promises that the PS Vita will launch with “a vast library of titles that deliver unique gameplay experiences that go beyond any handheld or mobile device on the market.” Well, I guess the delay would be better than having the console launch with no games right? Not to mention it gives us all more time to save up for one. How many of you will be picking up the PS Vita on day one?
