Xperia PlayEarlier this year, it was announced that Sony’s PlayStation Suite will be making its way over to non-Sony Android devices including Tegra 2 phones and tablets. Well it’s been quite a number of months and we’re yet to hear anything about the Suite making an appearance – until today. Speaking at the AsiaD event in Hong Kong today, Sony Computer Entertainment’s chairman, Kaz Hidai, gave a little update on its progress.

According to him, there’s nothing concrete yet – with the framework still very much open to other OEM’s. Sony is still having discussions with those manufacturers about getting the PlayStation Suite onboard their devices though there were no ETAs mentioned. Oh well, at least knowing that they’re currently having discussions is better than not knowing anything is happening.

Hopefully by the time they get the PlayStation Suite up and ready for all Android devices, people will still want to play those Sony-exclusive games. If not people are just going to take things into their own hands by installing emulators on their phones or tablets.
