Naturally when there is the PlayStation 3, there will be talks of a possible PlayStation 4, and if you’re looking forward to seeing it any time soon, you could be in for a long wait, as according to various reports, Sony will be focusing their efforts on the PlayStation 3 and the PlayStation Vita for the next couple of years to come.
According to a “trusted source” who told Develop, while the console has yet to be announced, various game projects that are being developed for the PlayStation 4 are reportedly underway and are in their early stages of development. Before you too excited, it seems that these projects are more like concepts, which either one of Sony’s sixteen game studios will probably pitch to the company before getting the green light to go ahead.
We guess that this is good news to hear that Sony does have plans for a PlayStation 4, if the rumors are to be believed. However for now, especially for recent PlayStation 3 owners who might be worried that their console would become outdated and irrelevant soon, it looks like you will be able to enjoy your console and its games for the next couple of years or so.
