If you are a music lover, then surely you would know that getting the right kind of tracks playing in the background while you drive will greatly enhance the journey’s experience, including making it feel as though that 10-hour road trip is shorter than imagined. Well, good news for fans of SiriusXM – Subaru will be offering satellite radio from SiriusXM for all 2012 models, starting with the Legacy and Outback Limited models, followed by 2012 Impreza and Forester models that will sport an all-new factory navigation system to boot.

Of course, Subaru intends for you to give this form of in-car entertainment on a complimentary basis for up to 4 months in a free trial subscription to the XM Select package which boasts of more than 130 channels of commercial-free music, premier sports, news, talk and comedy from SiriusXM. With Impreza and Forester customers, you will further benefit from a 4-month trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio and NavTraffic services, letting you know about detailed traffic information and incident data regarding construction, road closures and accidents before setting out for better planning when you make your way to your destination.

Subaru hopes to see this partnership blossom to include SiriusXM satellite radio as standard issue equipment on additional trim levels and models in the future. Do you? [Press Release]
