Verizon starts clearing out the 16GB/32GB iPhone 4With the iPhone 4S officially announced, naturally carriers would want to start making way for Apple’s new device by attempting to unload older models. Verizon in confirming their plans for the iPhone 4S have already started doing so, and are now offering the 16GB and 32GB versions of the iPhone 4 for $150 and $200 on contract respectively.

Considering that apart from several hardware changes under the hood, with the outer appearance and design of the iPhone 4S not differing from the iPhone 4, some may not consider the bump in speed or 8MP camera worth paying a premium for, and may instead go for the cheaper and more affordable iPhone 4, which could explain why Verizon has not mentioned how long their iPhone 4 models are expected to stay in stock, or if they’re planning on restocking at all.

If you feel 16GB/32GB is still too expensive, Verizon has also started taking pre-orders for the 8GB iPhone 4 for $100 on contract, and is expected to start shipping the device to customers before or on the 13th of October.
