Research In Motion’s (RIM) BlackBerry Curve 9830 has just arrived at the FCC recently, and this time around, this particular model will carry with it support for GSM bands 850 and 1900, in addition to WCDMA bands II, IV and V. What makes this particular model more interesting than usual would be support for WCDMA band IV, where it means that it will rock on to T-Mobile’s 3G band Stateside. At the moment, FCC test reports do confirm a couple of model numbers for the Curve 9380, and they are the REA70UW and the REB70UW.

The REA70UW did go through the notions of the FCC a fortnight back, and both models have been confirmed to be known as the Curve 9380 in the device’s Safety and Product Information doc. This will be the first Curve device from RIM that will no longer sport the trademark keypad, but instead take the full touchscreen display route with a 3.2″ display at 360 × 480 resolution, running on a 800MHz processor and accompanied by a 5-megapixel shooter.
