Dolphin browser for iOS updated

If you’re a fan of Dolphin browser on your iOS device, we’ve got some good news – a new version of the web browser has been released today. Dolphin Browser for iOS is now version 2.0 and brings Dolphin Connect to the web browser. Dolphin Connect lets you sync all your favorites across all your iOS and Android devices that run the Dolphin browser – so no matter which device you use, you’ll be able to access the same links.

Other improvements in Dolphin Browser v2.0 include an enhanced Webzine – a feature of Dolphin that lets you view the Dolphin community’s 16 most popular Webzine channels on the home. As usual, bug fixes and minor tweaks are included with the update as well. Dolphin Browser v2.0 is available now from the Apple App Store for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad.

iOS was once upon a time called iPhone OS, or "operating system", which is the software that provides all the basic device functionality and is the interface between the hardware and applications. iOS was introduced with the iPhone on January 9 2007, and it was originally not intended to be programmable by third parties. Steve Jobs had envisioned that developers could create Web Apps that would run in the browser. This changed less than one year after when the iPhone SDK (software development kit) was introduced in October 2007. Today, hundreds of thousands of apps have been created for this platform. iPhone OS became iOS on June 2010. Interestingly, both iPhone and iOS were former trademarks of Cisco, that Apple now uses under a license.
