Folks have been saying that there is a new update for Nokia Maps for over a week now, although there were also fair share of complaints that this new update actually caused havoc with their Maps app. I guess the latest update which bumps up your Nokia Maps to version 3.08 is a fully working version now, so you need not worry about getting lost in unfamiliar territory as you grab it from Nokia Suite. Of course, there is also the other method of making sure the update hits your smartphone – that is, through the Over The Air (OTA) method.

The entire update weighs in at 15MB, so I guess it is fine to receive it via 3G, otherwise Wi-Fi would still be the safer and more reliable route. With maps of more than 95 countries worldwide available, you might want to ditch that ageing GPS navigation device already and pick up one of those spanking new Nokia devices which were recently unveiled at Nokia World 2011.
