Sonos System Software 3.6 has just been launched and it is accompanied by an updated Android app: Sonos Controller for Android supports Android tablets and smartphones. Many devices are supported, but Sonos has mentioned the following hardware: the Kindle Fire, HTC Flyer, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab and Sony Tablet S.
Besides that, Sonos now works with Slacker Radio – at least in the USA and Canada. If you don’t know Slacker, it is a popular (and free) Internet radio service. Finally, version 3.6 adds support for the AAC+ audio format.

Android Android is mobile operating system from Google. The software was originally built by a company called Android Inc, that was purchased by Google in 2005. From its modest debuts, Android has become a powerhouse that powers not only smartphones and tablet, but a host of other less high-profile devices and gadgets. Although Android is not a community-driven project, Google does release the source code as open-source under the Apache license.
