Angry Birds arrives on the BlackBerry PlayBook (finally)

After what seemed like eternity, it looks like you won’t have to switch tablets or use your smartphone when it comes to getting your fix of Angry Birds. While the PlayBook still doesn’t have native email, the popular and addictive puzzle game is now available on the QNX-running tablet. In addition to the regular version of Angry Birds, PlayBook users also get Rio and Seasons versions of the game.

Other than the fact that the app is on the PlayBook, the games play just like they did on other devices, nothing new or PlayBook-specific here. After taking its sweet time to produce the game for the PlayBook, you’d expect some special features – unfortunately there are none to be found.
