Battlefield 2143 hinted in Battlefield 3

While there’s no doubt that we’ll be seeing another Battlefield game next year, we don’t know which part of the Battlefield series it’s going to be. Well, according to some reports online, it might sequel to the futuristic Battlefield 2142. In the latest Back to Karkand expansion, some players spotted the number hidden “2143″ on the Wake Island map.

Normally this wouldn’t mean a thing, but DICE previously hinted about Battlefield 2142 in the Battlefield 2: Euro Forces and Armored Fury map packs, so if they’ve been keeping the tradition alive, I guess we can expect to see a Battlefield 2143 in the foreseeable future. Anybody pumped about a futuristic Battlefield, or do you prefer the more realistic versions of the game?
