The Grand Theft Auto franchise really took off in a big way when it hit the PS2, and the discovery of the Hot Coffee mod made it all the more famous, where you could wreak havoc in full 3D glory while getting your pent up carnal frustration loose in a very graphic manner. Well, since then, GTA has come up with its fair share of titles across different consoles, and I still remember the many hours that I spent on the Nintendo DS, avoiding police and beating up as many roadside folk as possible just for the heck of it – not exactly the best way to play the game, but boredom makes you do silly things. Well, two more mobile platforms will be on the receiving end of the GTA franchise next week – where RockStar Games announced that Grand Theft Auto 3 10th Anniversary will hit the iOS and Android-powered devices on December 15th, costing you a mere $5 in the process. Of course, you will need high-powered devices to have this game run, where the Apple camp would include both iPads, the iPhone 4 and 4S, and iPod touch 4th Generation. As for the Android department, phones include the HTC Rezound, LG Optimus 2x, Motorola Atrix 4G, Motorola Droid X2, Motorola Photon 4G, Samsung Galaxy R, and T-Mobile G2x, while tablets will comprise of the Acer Iconia, Asus Eee Pad Transformer, Dell Streak 7 (which has been discontinued, btw), LG Optimus Pad, Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1, Sony Tablet S, and the Toshiba Thrive.
